Packing Guides For Your Perfect Trip

One of the first questions we always get asked is ‘What do you pack when you go on your travels?’. So, we have created complete packing lists for specific destinations below.

You will also find our top 10 must-have items for any trip on this page.

We hope you find this helpful!

10 Must Have Items For Your Packing List

Packing List

Loop Noise-Reducing Ear Plugs

Loop earplugs are your ultimate travel companion for catching Z’s on planes, trains, and even in bustling hostel dorms! Say goodbye to noisy neighbours and that pesky engine hum. With Loop, you can enjoy the blissful benefits of uninterrupted sleep, ensuring you arrive at your destination refreshed and ready to conquer the day. We swear by them!

Trek Mosquito Spray

Nothing ruins a sunset cocktail like being on the menu for mosquitoes! And… Finding a mosquito repellant that actually works is no easy task! Trek is fantastic for us, and we highly recommend it! However, it’s worth noting that Trek does contain Deet. So, if you are sensitive to Deet, this might not be the one for you, but it’s one of the only things that works for us! Regardless of brand, mosquito repellant is at the top of the packing list for any tropical trip to allow you to roam freely without those pesky bloodsuckers crashing the party!

Worldwide Travel Adapter

Another must for the packing list is a worldwide travel adapter. This adaptor saves so much space as it has multiple outlets in one device and allows seamless charging wherever your adventures lead. MOMAX is our personal favourite as it has a 30W outlet, which allows for fast charging of bigger devices, including laptops and our DJI drone (Aka Bumble Bee 😉). When you are constantly on the go and have lots of devices to charge quickly, this is the ultimate travel sidekick.

Dry Bag

At the end of the day, dry gear is happy gear! A try bag is a must for the packing list to keep all of your belongings dry and ready for action no matter what Mother Nature throws your way! A dry bag is also fantastic for island hopping, boat trips and kayaking adventures. We can’t tell you how many times our bag has saved us, and allowed us to swim with our drone to remote spots! There are lots of different sizes and colors to choose from so you can choose the perfect fit for your style and needs!

Water Shoes

Water shoes need to be on the packing list for adventurous travellers who refuse to let sharp rocks or slippery surfaces ruin their fun! Step confidently into any aquatic adventure: Whether you’re hopping between islands, exploring hidden waterfalls, or navigating rocky shores, water shoes provide the perfect blend of protection and comfort. We have linked the ones we bought, which are great for us! There are lots of sizes and snazzy colours available!

Travel Sickness Glasses

These bad boys are an absolute game changer if you get travel sick!! We’ll be honest, initially, we did not think they would work but… for Beth (who really feels the sea and the road) they genuinely work! These work a bit like a spirit level to even out your horizon! Admittedly… they are not the most fashionable haha! However, for how well they work that is a small price to pay in our opinion and they always make for a good conversation starter with fellow travellers!

Travel Backpack

With plenty of compartments and pockets to stash your essentials, a travel backpack keeps everything organised and accessible. Whether you’re trekking through bustling cities or hiking remote trails, a good all-purpose travel backpack allows for streamlined, hands-free travel and enables you to explore with ease! We have linked our favourite, which we think is great value, but there are lots of options to choose from!

Bumbag

Next on the packing list is a bumbag! This is the ultimate hands-free solution for keeping your belongings secure and safe while you explore! With easy access to your valuables right at your fingertips, a bumbag keeps your phone, wallet, camera and other essentials close and secure. We have attached our favourite value options with lots of colours and styles to choose from 😊

A Power Bank

With a power bank in your pocket or backpack, you can stay connected, capture every moment, and navigate unfamiliar terrain without worrying about running out of juice.

Top Travel Tip: Remember that power banks contain lithium batteries, so it’s crucial to check your airline’s regulations on lithium battery allowances to avoid any potential confiscation or travel headaches. We have attached the power bank we use which is 10,000mAh and is generally accepted on most airlines. However, please do check with your specific airline to be sure!

Trtl Travel Pillow

The Trtl travel pillow takes sleep on the go to another level… especially if you are not near a window where you can rest your head on a more typical travel pillow. This pillow works by supporting your neck and head in a more upright position, allowing for better sleep and reducing neck stiffness. However, it is on the pricier side, so remember to always purchase within your budget 😊Â
