The Snaefellsnes Peninsula Title

The Snæfellsnes peninsula is a remarkable region in West Iceland, often called “Iceland in Miniature” due to its diverse and stunning landscapes packed into a relatively small area. Stretching about 90 km into the Atlantic Ocean, this peninsula boasts an incredible variety of natural wonders, including the iconic Snæfellsjökull glacier-capped volcano, dramatic lava fields, rugged coastal cliffs, black pebble beaches, and charming fishing villages.

The Snaefellsnes peninsula is not as famous as other locations closer to Reykjavik, such as the Golden Circle and the South Coast, meaning many attractions are less crowded! In these free travel guides, we will highlight some of our favourite locations in the Snæfellsnes peninsula to help you plan your own road trip and discuss the best day tours!
